Everyday should be a day to celebrate great women, but the month of March has been officially designated as Women’s History Month. A time to recognize and honor the contributions of women in our society. In Tampa Bay, there will be a Women’s History Month Celebration on March 10, 2009 at the Tampa City Council Chambers from 11am-12pm. The program is title: “Women Taking the Lead to Save Our Planet” and will feature: Roberta Fernandez, President and Founder of Planet Partnership, Gayle Sierens with WFLA Channel 8, and entertainment by The Stylin’ Quartet.

The event will be telecast on Verizon FiOs channel 15 and Bright House Networks channel 615, with replays beginning on March 13th and throughout April on Sundays at 5pm, Mondays at 2pm, and Fridays at 8am.

Women have always played key roles as business builders and consumers. Studies have shown that a woman’s buying power exceeds 50% in various product areas, so they’re a group that you’ll want your marketing message to speak to…respectfully.
